We'll learn how to create Node-based Express apps, explore the overall ecosystem and recommended libraries, and gain enough knowledge to start building, testing and deploying applications straight away.

The talk will cover:

  • Package management with npm
  • Streamlining HTML and CSS with Jade and Stylus
  • Recommended database libraries
  • Sending emails
  • Package distribution with npm
  • Testing with Expresso and Zombie.js
  • Deployment recipes

Alex is a freelance developer and web app entrepreneur, writing JavaScript, Ruby, and Objective-C.
